Supported platforms and modes
EA's dedicated Madden 27 FAQ limits crossplay to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The supported mode list includes Online Head-to-Head, Franchise, Madden Ultimate Team, and Superstar.
The FAQ says supported-platform players can invite each other, join the same team, or compete in select modes. It does not promise that every mode supports every party configuration.
- Supported: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S
- Not listed: Nintendo Switch 2
- Modes: Online Head-to-Head, Franchise, Madden Ultimate Team, Superstar
Enable crossplay and find friends
Crossplay is enabled by default on first launch for the supported platforms. Xbox Series X|S controls the option through console system settings, while PS5 and PC use an in-game setting.
EA directs players to EA connect and its Player Search tab to find someone by EA identification or platform identifier. The live interface and error states still need launch verification.
Cross-progression is limited
EA explicitly confirms shared Superstar avatar progression and gear purchases across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The source does not establish universal save transfer for every mode.
Crossplay opt-in users see global leaderboards in supported modes. MUT Auction House inventory and Coin transactions remain platform-specific according to the FAQ.
Cloud Franchise is a live beta
EA says new and existing Cloud Franchise leagues can enable crossplay, but labels the feature a live beta. EA recommends beginning a new Franchise file in case the crossplay feature must be temporarily disabled.
Internet access, an EA Account, and current game updates are required. Availability can also change with maintenance or server work.
