Build the team on EA's desktop website, submit it, download it in Madden 27 through Creation Center → Download Center → Teams, then start or join an online Franchise and replace an NFL team. Offline Franchise does not support the import path in EA's current instructions.

EA divides the builder into four areas. Finish the visual identity and roster review before submitting so the in-game download is the version you intended.

Home, away, and additional uniform categories, including helmet, jersey, pants, and socks.

Architecture, capacity, crowd, surface, logos, and field numbers.

CREATE AND SUBMIT.

Open EA Team Builder
  1. 01

    Open the web tool

    Use EA's Team Builder in a desktop browser. Sign in with the EA Account connected to the platform where you play.

  2. 02

    Choose Create

    Open the Brand, Uniforms, Stadium and Field, and Franchise tabs. Save as you work.

  3. 03

    Review the roster

    The Franchise tab covers the roster, including player appearance, physical attributes, and skill ratings.

  4. 04

    Submit the team

    Review the on-screen summary, then confirm Submit. EA lists a 5 MB upload limit per team.

DOWNLOAD AND IMPORT.

The team file must first reach local platform storage. Franchise then reads that downloaded team during online league setup.

    Creation Center

    Launch Madden NFL 27 and open Creation Center from the main menu.

    Download Center

    Open Download Center, switch to the Teams category, and search for the team name.

    Download

    Download the team to local platform storage and confirm it appears under My Downloads.

    Online Franchise

    Create or join an online league. Choose Play Online Solo or Multiplayer—Play Offline cannot import Team Builder teams.

    Replace a team

    Choose Weekly NFL Roster or Roster File, then replace an existing NFL team on the Choose Team screen. EA says up to 32 teams can be replaced.

CHECK THE HANDOFF BEFORE REBUILDING.

  1. 01Do not stay signed into the game and the Team Builder website at the same time while creating the team.
  2. 02Use the EA Account linked to the platform account where you expect the download to appear.
  3. 03Use a desktop browser. EA says phones are not officially supported; tablets need at least 8 GB of RAM.
  4. 04Confirm the team appears in Creation Center → Download Center → Teams → My Downloads.
  5. 05Create or join an online Franchise. The official instructions explicitly exclude Play Offline imports.
  6. 06If the path is correct but the team is missing, check EA service status before deleting and rebuilding the project.

Is Madden 27 Team Builder available?

EA Help now publishes Madden NFL 27 creation, download, and Franchise import instructions. That establishes official M27 support, but live uptime can still vary by account, maintenance, and service state.

Can I use a Team Builder team in offline Franchise?

No. EA's current instructions say Team Builder imports require an online league; selecting Play Offline does not expose the import path.

Which platforms support Madden 27 Team Builder?

EA lists PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC versions for Franchise use.

How many NFL teams can I replace?
